The Directors of NZWindows bring an extensive knowledge and depth of experience to the Group, providing the customers of NZWindows with a great back-up service in all aspects of window and door manufacture, supply & installation.
Rod Taylor

Rod Taylor
Career
Educated at Tauranga Boys College and gaining a Bachelor of Management Studies from Waikato University, Rod joined the family business upon completing his degree. Through his involvement in setting up Taylor Roofing Auckland, a roofing contracting business, Rod gained a wide experience in business and the construction industry. Returning to Tauranga in 1990, Rod began his long involvement with the aluminium window industry, when he and Glynn Judson began management of Taylors Windows. It was this fledgling business Rod and Glynn later purchased and renamed NZWindows.
Rod has been involved with WANZ (Window Association of New Zealand), firstly on the training committee formulating the NZ Qualification - Certificate in Architectural Aluminium Joinery and then as a Fabricator member of the WANZ Executive Committee.
Rod is also Chairman of the Board of Directors of Team Local Limited, a Tauranga based loyalty and marketing programme for the building industry, which currently has 59 providers and 535 builder members.
Family
Married to Susan a primary school teacher, Rod has two children - Connor and Ainsleigh.
Outside Work
A keen and competitive runner in earlier years, Rod has completed more than 15 Marathons with a best time of 2hrs 29mins 1sec at the Rotorua Marathon and represented Waikato/Bay of Plenty at national level in both Cross Country and Road Running.
More recently Rod has been involved in the administrative aspects of Athletics and was president of Athletics Tauranga Inc for a number of years, becoming a life member of this organisation.
Lately Rod has become a keen spectator at recent Chiefs games at Waikato Stadium and finds this less physically demanding than competitve athletics.
Glynn Judson
Career
Educated at Tauranga Boys College, Glynn began his working life with Joinery and Staircases in Tauranga as a trainee aluminium fabricator making Barker Windows and Doors. After a stint measuring curtains for Dixons Furnishings in Te Puke, Glynn joined Taylor Roofing as a Sales Representative covering Hamilton, Coromandel and Whakatane. Moving to Auckland Glynn was involved in setting up Taylor Roofing Auckland, a roofing contracting business, gaining experience in running a business before returning to Tauranga in 1990 to manage Taylors Windows. It was this fledgling business Glynn later purchased with Rod Taylor and renamed NZWindows.
Glynn has been involved in project management of some of NZWindows largest and most complex projects, including the 15 storey Devonport Towers building and the 'glass shoebox' ABM Amro Craig building in downtown Tauranga.
Currently Glynn manages the dayto day operations of NZWindows Coromandel Limited, based in Whitianga.
Family
Married to Barbara who also works at NZWindows in Whitianga, Glynn has two adult children - Grant and Kerry.
Outside Work
Mad keen 'Boaties' Glynn and Barbara can be found most weekends in the summer out off Coromandel Peninsula on their 42 launch. Barb catching all the fish and Glynn gutting them.
Glynn is also a keen diver and has been known to supply the odd crayfish for morning smoko (yeah right).
Kevin Allum
Career
Educated in Whangarei and New Plymouth followed by University study in the Waikato Kevin initially set out to be a town planner. After quickly realizing the bureaucracy would kill him Kevin found his feet in the Aluminium industry in 1990 working his way through supervisory and management positions within the Aluminium Extrusion Industry. Auckland beckoned and Kevin took on an operations management role with an Aluminium Design and Distribution Company. After a 2-year stint in Australia Kevin returned to NZ to become CEO of this group. Through this role Kevin has known Rod and Glynn for over 10-years and joined the NZWindows team in December 2004.
Family
Kevin lives in Tauranga with his three children – Jacob, Breana and Paris.
Outside Work
Between enjoying the various interests of his three young children, Kevin’s other outside activities include Motor-cross, water sports and watching rugby.
Reuben Strange
Career
Educated at Tauranga Boys College, Reuben completed a Polytech course in Nursery Production and Retailing. Working as a builder for 4-5 years, Reuben gained experience in on site construction and in factory production environments when assembling prenailed frames. After traveling and working overseas Reuben returned to Tauranga and began work with Taylor Windows as a Sales Representative learning aspects of the window and door industry.
An opportunity arose for Reuben when Glynn Judson & Rod Taylor decided to set up a factory in Hamilton. Thrown in the deep-end Reuben moved to Hamilton and into the role of General Manager of NZWindows Hamilton branch. Reuben is now reponsible for a staff of 19 and 1000 SQM of factory production area.
Family
Married to Natasha, Reuben has two young children - Calie and Isaac.
Outside Work
When family obligations permit Reuben likes to take in a bit of trout fishing or spectating at the odd game of rugby.
